Who We Are
MOMS Club® is an international, non-profit organization for at-home moms.  We proudly serve Traverse City and the surrounding area.  We are not affiliated with any parenting style, religion, or ethnic group; MOMS Club is open to and accepting of any and all moms who are at-home with their children.
The MOMS Club® of Traverse City currently has approximately 20 members.  Many of our members are stay-at-home mothers, but some moms do work.  Some members are first-time mothers while others have school-age children.  Our group varies with children and age, so you can always find someone with your common interests.  We are a group to support one another in a safe and comfortable environment.
 
MOMS Club History
MOMS Club was founded in 1983 by Mary James, a stay-at-home mother of two from California. Weary of being home alone all day, Mary wanted to connect with other at-home moms in her area. She also desired playmates for her children. When she discovered that there were no existing organizations that met during the day with designed activities for moms and children to enjoy together, she decided to start her own group. Based on the success of this initial chapter, MOMS Club spread throughout the country. Today, there are over 2000 chapters in the United States, as well as international chapters.
